Format of an All’asta Party

How does an All’asta Party flow?

When the consultant arrives, she checks in with her hostess and sets up her Signature display. It’s also a great time to review the hostess’s silent auction items.

As guests arrive, they are assigned a guest number and given bid sheets for each item they brought to include in the silent auction. Usually the hostess has cleared her dining room table for these items, but any space can work.

Once all the guests have arrived, the consultant starts her presentation. Our eclectic Signature collection really resonates with people, and they create big wish lists (a great reason to host their own All’asta party!).

Next is the silent auction. Most consultants allow about 15 minutes, and during that time, everyone in attendance can bid on each other’s silent auction items.

At the end of the silent auction, the consultant collects the bid sleeps, tallies what each guest bought/sold, and then helps each guest one-on-one at the closing table.

That’s where the consultant shows each guest the auction results, adds their Signature purchases to the order, collects payments, books parties, and also talks about the All’asta business opportunity.

Can consultants participate in the silent auction?

Absolutely! Many consultants include a couple of their own items or bid on a special item that one of the guests brought.

Just like any other guest, consultants earn a 50% commission on any items they sell. Plus, when their consultant commissions are calculated, they’ll earn 25% (or higher) commission.

How long does it take to get the items from a party?

Orders are sent to the warehouse for shipping once the party has been closed. We know that sometimes a consultant has to wait for deposits to clear, or has to deposit cash payments into their account – but we encourage consultants to close out their parties within a couple days after the party.

Once the party is closed, our goal is to get orders shipped within 2-3 business days. Of course, any auction items can be taken home that night!

Hostess Rewards

All’asta has a great hostess rewards program! We consider our hostess our “business partner for the evening” and reward her for her efforts. We ask our hostesses to gets lots of people to the party, coach those people what to bring for the silent auction, and of course, to welcome them into her home.

1) A hostess can place an unlimited number of items in the silent auction, contrary to guests who are limited to 3. She’ll earn 50% on everything that is in the silent auction.

2) Based on total party sales (auction + Signature sales), the hostess can earn half-price Signature items. Check out our Hostess Rewards chart for a breakdown.

3) She can also earn rewards based on total catalog or Signature sales. If Signature sales reach $200 or more, the hostess will get 10% credit to use toward her own Signature selections.

From time to time, All’asta also offers hostess exclusives. So, there are tons of benefits for hosting an All’asta Party!

Consultant Questions

Is the consultant charged fees for processing credit cards?

No way! Consultants process credit and debit cards through the All’asta Square, Inc. account, or through our online virtual terminal. All’asta absorbs all card processing fees.

What are your shipping costs?

Our shipping costs are 10% of the Signature order, and orders ship directly to the hostess. If a customer requests direct shipping, we add a $4 fee to cover the extra processing and packaging. We are continually striving to find ways to reduce shipping costs. Keep in mind that weight is a big factor.

What other types of overhead costs will I have?

Our goal is for our consultants to keep as much of their profits as possible. Consultants will have some minimal costs for business supplies (catalogs, order forms, bid slips, etc.) and may choose to invest in other items (such as Facebook advertising). We recommend you contact your financial advisor for other expenses that may be tax deductible as an All’asta consultant.

How much do I earn at my parties?

All of our consultants start at a 25% commission, and that is based on total party sales, meaning the sum of the auction sales plus the Signature sales. This won’t include the host rewards because that is an expense that the company is paying for. You’re going to earn 25% commissions. Your commissions can go up as high as 34% as you promote up our compensation structure.

How do I receive payment for my commissions and bonuses?

After All’asta closes out the month (usually by the fifth business day of the following month), consultants are issued checks for both their commissions and any bonuses they earned. Checks are mailed to consultants. It’s so much fun to receive your check because you can really see what you are earning!

What is required to be an active consultant?

To be an active All’asta Consultant, you need to place a $200 order every “rolling” three months.

Marketing

How are you spreading the word about All’asta?

All kinds of ways! You can see our ads on several home-party websites, and we have an active social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest), where we’d love to have you follow us!

Our consultants also promote their own businesses through social media, websites, and other mediums. All’asta provides many tools such as product and brand images to help in these marketing efforts.

We also have a new company lead program. Consultants who meet the qualifications in the previous month receive incoming leads on a rotating distribution.

Do consultants have personal websites?

At this time we do not have replicated websites.  We encourage consultants to set up Facebook pages, and we’re looking at some alternatives for the future.

Compensation plan

We have a great compensation plan! It rewards consultants extremely well for their own efforts and for building leaders that they personally sponsor into the company. Technically it does pay down 3 generations, but it pays the highest percentages on what consultants do with their “level zeros,” as we call them.

If you want more information on the compensation plan, please contact us (link to “contact us” page) and we can walk through it with you.

All’asta also offers promotion bonuses that consultants can earn as they move up the ranks. Consultants can also earn promotion bonuses when they help somebody in their organization get a promotion. So consultants get paid for promoting themselves, and they get paid bonuses when they promote others. This means that you can really win!

Joining All’asta

Do you have a starter kit?

Yes! Our starter kit is $149 (plus tax and shipping) and is available here. You’ll need to fill out your consultant agreement on the order page before the order goes through. We typically process your information the next business day, and we’ll get your consultant login information to you right away so that you can immediately access all the training and marketing materials. Starter kits usually ship two to three business days after we process your information.

What kind of training do you offer for new consultants?

We have great training for our new consultants! We offer biweekly training calls, and we have a consultants-only website with all kinds of training materials – handouts, videos, webinars, and more – that you can access 24 hours a day. We’re also available by phone and email to help out new consultants directly.

When is the best time to start?

All’asta is a new home party business (we celebrated our first anniversary on February 1, 2013). Typically for new home party businesses, it takes a little more work to get people to understand how it all works, especially with All’asta’s silent auction component.

All’asta is still a ground floor company, and we’re growing well. We see great parties, and more and more people are signing on. We’ve put the team and the systems in place to support our growth.

Joining All’asta is definitely a ground-floor opportunity, so if you have looked at other plans and thought, “I love this company, but I feel like there are too many current consultants in my back yard,” that certainly is not the case with All’asta at this point.

You would very much be on the ground floor. It would be really smart to have a solid, strong foundation of consultants on your team so that you can capitalize on our growth.

If this is something that you want to give a try, we hope you join our All’asta family as a new consultant.
